Abstracting elements from the skyline of Mumbai, railings and balconies of Bandra village homes and the industrial grunge of Andheri, both outlets use a rich palette of materials to define their interior landscapes. These successful designs have become a benchmark and have set standards for all Pizza Express outlets in India.
Inspite of working for an international brand with a distinct design outlook, our work in India operates within the cultural context of the country and yet suggests that each Pizza express is a product of cultural mutation and reinvention. We try and maintain the spirit of each location, desire of people and attempt to integrate the real, imaginary and the symbolic.
